Korea Illies Engineering Co.

On April 20th Mr. Steffen Trabert, CEO of Korea Illies Co., visited us and presented his company.

Illies Engineering Company is a world-wide operating company with over 150 years history. Established by German merchants in Japan in 1859, Illies has traditionally focused on Asia and has many branches (including Hamburg, Germany) all over the world like in China, India, Vietnam etc. The Korean Branch was founded on 1957.

Illies Co. is acting as a bridge between machine-producer (in Europe) and customer (in Korea and other Asian countries), and this mediator's act is significant. That's why we can call Illies a "Hidden Champion".

In Europe are many small and middle-sized machine producers who are not able to handle on the Asian market. So Illies Co. works for both sides, producer and customer, with

- Transport

- Installations and Support

- Training of personal

- Warranty and maintenance services

- Supply of spare parts  

Although Illies is middle-size company, Mr Trabert emphasized the importance of these companies in the industrial society.
