On April 27th
we went to Incheon International Airport and visited the company "LSG Sky
Chefs". Mr. Gareth Lycett, the CEO, introduced his company and then we
made tour through the facilities.
It was the first experience that we went to an airline
foods company. So I was quite excited to go there. There were so many rooms
which are for different types of airline food for people from many different
nations. I was quite impressed by the Halal room which is for Muslim people. He
explained, normally they should not eat pork, and they praying to their god
before they cook. We also looked at a dessert room, special dishes for business
class, and an airlines products warehouse. It was fascinating seeing all
processes related to airline foods. Mr. Gareth Lycett, the CEO of LSG Sky Chefs,
presentation was also interested. I think he already know about Korean company
culture and how is working in Korea. He said if we want to get abroad job, we
need to understand their culture and try to adapt their life. Actually it’s
obvious and I also knew that it was very difficult. Anyway it was good
opportunity to go there.
They showed a presentation about LSG Sky Chefs. I
could know about specific parts of the company through their presentation. The
most interesting thing is how they made airline foods and their distribution
process of the whole system. I was especially impressed by their different
services for business and economy class.
